By joining Always In For Kids, you will become part of a community of consistent supporters bringing resources to students. After signing up, you will receive a welcome packet with information about the good work your support enables, and an introduction to our Always In For Kids student ambassador, Alonzo.
Together we will ensure that support is always there for kids in Kalamazoo!

Become a CIS Enrichment Partner
Are you interested in supporting our CIS after school program as an enrichment partner? We are seeking partners for the 2024-25 school year who will work within the CIS ISS Model of Integrated Student Services (ISS) and work together to help improve students’ attendance, behavior, reading, math, and writing.

Volunteer with CIS
An hour a week can change a life.
By giving your time, you can help a student in Kalamazoo stay and succeed in school, improve in math or reading, gain self-esteem and confidence, be prepared for college and a career, and fulfill their promise.
Ways to volunteer
One-on-one tutoring
Help kids with their math or reading, talk and laugh—and just be someone they can depend on.
Classroom support
Help out teachers by working with groups of students and performing tasks that keep the classroom running smoothly.
After-school helper
Work with individual students and small groups to build academic skills, increase self-confidence, and pursue educational goals.
Specialized interns & volunteers
Support the CIS mission through specialized roles related to our Kids’ Closet, Mobile Health Clinic, and other programs.
