Events: CIS hosts events throughout the year to bring people together in support of our mission. Check our events page for opportunities to participate.

Friends of CIS: CIS is extremely grateful to the individuals and groups who wish to host an event or activity in support of students in Kalamazoo. From dinner parties to casual Fridays, lawn games to fitness challenges, all kinds of events are possible. Friends of CIS events are a way for you to design your own event or activity for a need you’re passionate about meeting. Please see below for some creative Friends of CIS events that have been hosted. Design your own by reviewing the attached guidelines and submitting the application.

Gifts-in-kind: A gift-in-kind is a donation of goods or services that supports our mission. Our gift-in-kind needs include graphic design, printing, venue space and gift cards. Donated goods of school supplies, new clothing, winter boots and hygiene products support the CIS Kids’ Closet.

CIS Kids’ Closet: The CIS Kids’ Closet helps meet needs for clothing, personal care items, and school supplies for K-12 students so that they are ready and able to learn every day. Based on limited staff and storage capacity, we ask that all donations are new. For a current list of needs, please reach out through our contact page.
