Emerging Leaders

The Emerging Leaders for Communities In Schools of Kalamazoo (CIS) are individuals from across the region who have come together for a common cause: to support the CIS mission of surrounding students with a community of support, empowering them to stay in school and achieve in life.

Members are invited to participate in a number of ways including volunteering to work directly with students, helping raise money for the mission, generating awareness in the community, helping to plan group events and activities or simply attending group events to learn more about our work. Members also may choose to participate on one of our three committees:

  • Fundraising
  • Student/school supports
  • Member engagement/recruitment
